Synopsis: This is a story about couples just like the title. If you read Selpouc from right to left, you will read couples. François is a famous movie director that will soon mary his girlfriend Catherine, a famous author.

Juan is Catherine's fan and he is studing in the university in literature field. His girlfriend is Maria, a poor but sexy waitress of a famous restaurant. Chen is one of the best guests of the restaurant. He is a Chinese diplomat and is married to Maggie, another Chinese diplomat.

Maggie loves jazz and blues and often goes to a Jazz Bar were she hears her idol Jack, one of the singers of the bar. Jack is the boyfriend of Tessa, an american actress that will do anything to get the female role of the next movie of François.

As the story goes on, François marries Catherine. He gives the role to Tessa and has an affair with her.

Catherine meets Juan in a book fair and falls in love of him. Then, they have an affair. Chen falls in love of Maria and has an affair with her. Maggie meets Jack, falls in love of him and has an affair with him.

As the couples have affairs with others, they learn that their mate is having affairs with others. At the end of the film, the eight characters are murdered
by the mates of their mate.

Woody Allen is at his best. Paul Haggis wrote next to Allen the best screenplay of his career. The music is wonderful. 4 different original scores by 4 of the most important composers of our times. The grammy winner John Legend composes all the jazz songs and scores. Santaolalla(The motorcycle Diaries) does the latin music. Tiersen (Amelie) does the french music and Umebayashi (House of Flying Daggers) does the chinese music. The acting is extraordinary. The eight actors recognized in the entire planet are at their best in this dramatic and romantic thriller. The cinematography is great. Dion Beebe made the jazz style again like in "Chicago" and the oriental style like in "Memoirs of a Geisha". As for the editing, Winborne dies a fantastic job just like in "Crash". Selpouc has already won various awards and the oscars are already thinking in the nominations it will get:
